Fishing bait / Plastic bait

Fishing bait varies depending on the type of fish you are trying to catch, when you are fishing, and where you are fishing. You will use different bait when fishing in freshwater than if you are fishing in saltwater. For instance, worms, night crawlers, smaller fish, insects, crayfish, leeches, dough balls, and freshwater mussels and clams make great bait in catching freshwater fish, while crabs, squid, sand eels, lugworm, ragworm mackerel, razor fish, and shrimp are the best baits for saltwater fish.

Plastic bait is one of the most common types of lure nowadays. Many people use this because they are easy to use, are mass produced, and are inexpensive. There’s less hassle in taking care of plastic baits, and you can use them anywhere. It’s also less messy and lasts longer compared to live bait. You can use these for any type of fish, and it works well in all conditions.

Various types of plastic baits include the Carolina rig, the jighead or the Texas rig, and the drop-shop rig. These are good options especially for bass fishing. The Carolina Rig is best for deep water fishing; it works well in shallow water under 8 feet. You can purchase plastic baits in a variety of styles. The best plastic lures are in bass and walleye, but other types of plastic bait attract fish as well. Buy plastic baits designed for the type of fish you want to catch.
