Trout and Salmon Fishing

Fishing refers to the catching of fish and other aquatic creatures in the ocean, seas, ponds, lakes, streams, and any other bodies of water. Trout and salmon are two of the most well-liked fish to catch by fishermen.

The success rate in catching trout and salmon is affected by timing, fishing position, weather, and condition of the water. For example, it is advisable not to fish when there is thunder or lightning and on very hot days, since in those conditions trout stay in deep water for more oxygen. Trout act differently in streams, rivers, and lakes, which frequently creates many challenges for fishermen. It is essential not to create any noise when fishing for the reason that trout can easily observe any form of disturbances above the surface. Aside from all the necessary equipment for fishing, bring also different bait foods to entice trout.

The tactics used in salmon fishing also depend on the weather conditions and condition of the river. Most trout prefer murky or cloudy water to protect from the numerous predators that are always in their surroundings. They also have a preference for cool water, and it is extremely unusual to detect them in warm water except when they feed. The most favourable time to locate them is all through the night hours, and just before sunrise. They also like to inhabit waters that are relatively choppy. Always use sharp hooks because salmon can escape from weaker hooks.
