Wyoming Fishing: Jackson Hole
Found at the western-central part of Wyoming, Jackson Hole provides the enchanting beauty of mountains and an inviting charm of streams and rivers. This is really a perfect place where you can relax and unwind. One of the most exciting activities done here is “Wyoming Fishing”.
Jackson Hole provides different rivers and lakes for fishing enthusiasts. They can choose from fishing sites like the Little Snake River, Encampment River, Seminoe Reservoir, alpine lakes, and Saratoga Lake. Numerous fishing guides to successful fishing expeditions also await them. Using power boats, fishing can also be enjoyed in the different water paradises like the Hog Park Reservoir, which is found to the south of the encampment in the Sierra Madre Range; the Seminoe Reservoir, located north of Rawlins; the Hanna and Medicine Bow, situated at Saratoga Lake; and the High Savery Reservoir found at County Roady. Many different fishing destinations at each of these reservoirs are waiting to be explored.
A wide variety of fish species like cutthroat, brown, rainbow, trout, and walleye are available here. In fact, a particular reservoir (the section of river from the Seminoe/Kortes reservoirs to Pathfinder Reservoir) known as the “Miracle Mile” has become a wonderful fishing destination because of the abundance of large heavy fish. Ever since this area was discovered, the reservoir has been a trophy fishery for many fishermen. The discovery of an 18-pound rainbow, a 21-pound brown trout, and a particular fish that was much bigger than a human has proven it to be a miraculous find.
